Ayer tuve la visita de mi hermana, la cual vive en Gravesend a las afueras de Londres y de una buena amiga, Asun, que venía desde Sevilla a pasar unos días. Querían “ver algo por el centro” y las llevé a compartir una de las vistas que más me gustan del centro Londinense, concretamente  cerca de la estación de Tottenham, allí hay un callejón que no muchos conocen ya que está cerrado a veces por una verja y el cual comunica dos calles principales, este callejón es la parte trasera de algunos restaurantes asiáticos y la entrada a locales de ensayo de bandas punk, rock, heavy locales. Esta calle tiene una vista espectacular del edificio Centre Point y es que se mezcla todo de un vistazo, esas construcciones antiguas y típicas inglesas de ladrillo, tuberías de desagüe visibles al exterior, alambres de espinos en los tejados,  la sensación de que van a salir un grupo de cocineros chinos a luchar con sus cuchillos y de fondo ese edificio que no es tan alto como parece pero en ese marco está espectacular! Sin duda uno de los descubrimientos de la zona y cada vez que paso cerca intento desviarme para atravesar ese callejón y disfrutar de esa imagen. Está claro que no es lo mismo una foto que estar ahí delante pero creo que se puede apreciar algo de lo que he contado en esta imagen.

I had a visit from my sister yesterday, who lives in Gravesend at the outskirts of London and a good friend, Asun, who came from Seville to spend a few days here. They wanted to “see something in the downtown” and I took them to share one of my favorite views of downtown, specifically near Tottenham station, there is an alley that not many knows as it is sometimes closed by a fence and which connects two main streets, this alley is the back of some Asian restaurants and the entrance to  punk bands, rock, heavy studios. This street has a spectacular view of the Centre Point building is that you mix everything at a glance, these ancient buildings and traditional English brick, drains visible outside, barbed wire on the roof, a feeling that will come out a group of Chinese cooks to fight with their knives and that building as background that actually is not as high as it seems but in that frame is spectacular! Certainly one of the discoveries in the area and every time I pass near detour attempt to cross the alley and enjoy that image. Of course that is not the same a photo to be there but I think you can see something of what I have told in this picture.
